Terms of Use
The Ecosystem Dynamics Interpretive Tool ("we", "us", "our") is an information system for cataloging and distributing knowledge about ecosystem change. By accessing the information system and any of its associated websites and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to all Terms of Use ("Terms") described in this document. If you do not consent to these Terms, we ask that you please not use the Service.
These Terms apply to anyone who uses the Service, including users who submit information to be stored and distributed by the Service ("Contributors") and users who simply access Service content ("Consumers"). We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, so please review them periodically. The latest Terms will be posted at https://editglobal.org/terms-of-use.
Contributing to the Service
Contributors are asked to only submit information to the Service that is accurate, relevant, and represents best available knowledge. Contributors are prohibited from submitting photos, geographic coordinates, or any other type of data that can be used to identify individual people or their property. Photos uploaded to the Service should not contain people unless it is impossible to determine their identity.
Information published to the Service is available to all Service Consumers; Contributors have no ability to limit or control who can access the information they have submitted. Contributors may modify or delete information they have submitted unless prohibited by laws or policies that are beyond our control. Deleted or modified information may persist for an unspecified time in backup storage media that is not publicly accessible. Information may also persist in documents that Consumers have downloaded from the Service. Although not standard practice, we reserve the right to modify or delete any information submitted to the Service.
We use technical measures and industry best practices to store and secure all information submitted to the Service; however, no storage or security system is failsafe, and we cannot guarantee the information you provide will not be permanently lost or accessed by unauthorized persons prior to publication. We encourage Contributors to maintain personal copies of all information they submit to the Service.
Consuming the Service
Information submitted to the Service is distributed "as-is". Consumers of the Service acknowledge the complexity of ecological systems and take full responsibility for determining the accuracy and usefulness of information we provide. Under no circumstances shall we be liable to you for any loss or damage of any kind resulting from your use of the Service. If you choose to use the Service, you do so solely at your own risk.
